I can not say enough about how amazing our experience with Eric was.
We were recommended Eric through a coworker, and immediately we had a solid connection with him. He started by setting us up with a home search based off of what we were looking for, our budget, and the area we were hoping to purchase in. I was emailed every day of new homes that met our criteria. Any time I had questions about a place, Eric was quick to find the answer for us. Whether it be the allowance of pets, questions about the place itself, or some other silly question, we got the answer we needed in a timely manner.
After some time of not being able to find a place due to being outbid or other reasons, we asked Eric if he was willing to help us search outside of the city. He happily obliged and adjusted our home search to include areas slightly outside the city. I don't know how long had passed but we eventually found a place and immediately asked if we could view it. It was out of Eric's way, a bit of a commute, but he immediately set us up with a viewing the next day and met us there. We viewed the place and fell in love. We asked if anyone had put a bid in yet, and were told no. A few hours later Eric checked in and notified us that he checked again and someone had put a bid in, and recommended we get a bid in asap before the other one got accepted. Because this process was very new to us, we had a lot of questions and really needed guidance. He gave us suggestions on what to bid, how to go about it all, and how quickly he suggested making our decision. It didn't matter how late in the day it was, we were in constant contact and always received answers as soon as he could get to us. We put in a bid that night.
We wound up getting chosen the following morning, and were immediately overwhelmed. This was our first time purchasing a place, so we had no clue what to do from here. Eric broke it down for us, and made sure we never once felt lost. He had so many resources for us, and walked us through step-by-step. He also helped us to contact the appropriate people in order to get things sorted before we received the keys to the place a few months later. In that time, we did everything we were told to get done, there was a few times where we couldn't get ahold of certain people to get approval (such as our pet registration, as it was required for the place we were purchasing, lawyers, and the bank we were working with) and Eric was ON IT. He made sure everything was done in time, as smooth as possible.
When the day came to get our keys, Eric once again made the commute out of his way and accordingly to our busy schedule, and met us with a gift basket and hugs + congrats all around. It didn't feel like strictly business, Eric had become a friend at this point. He walked through the place with us once again, made sure we were happy and comfortable, and let us be.
Our journey didn't end there. We had multiple concerns upon moving in that me and my roommate had initially missed. Not knowing what to do, we bothered Eric once more. He got us answers immediately, even though we didn't think he would know. He in fact did, and anything he didn't know, he knew exactly who to contact to help. This wound up including him sending us a home inspector to help determine the cause of our issues and driving over himself to make sure we were good.
Overall, as I mentioned before, Eric became not just the best realtor we've worked with (we've worked with multiple in the past) but also a friend. He was attentive, knowledgeable, diligent, communicative, extremely friendly and reassuring, and so much more. I couldn't recommend him enough to anyone buying their first home and feeling anxious about it. He made it much easier. I get to type this from my new home because of him. Never thought I'd get to do that!
