I am so appreciative of Mary's experience and commitment in helping through the entire sales process. From advising me on how to prepare my home prior to listing, working through issues that arose from a home inspection, to navigating the paperwork and closing process, she walked me through each step. She was instrumental in helping to coordinate and remove obstacles that resulted from a home inspection. I was selling my home while closing on a new home and moving out of state. I was frequently overwhelmed, but Mary stepped in to clear paths and make the process very easy for me. I could not have asked for better service and have already recommended her to friends and neighbors.

Mary Carstens is everything you hope for in an agent and then some. Knowledgeable, kind, but direct in the best way, she took what can be a very arduous process and made it enjoyable. Mary leads with kindness always, even if she is pointing out something wrong or that could be a challenge down the road. She offers valuable perspective and is excellent at helping you figure out what are true “must haves” and what are “would be nice”. Mary is also observant in the best way - once she gets to know you, she’s able to point out things that don’t seem big during a viewing but would impact your everyday once you move in. For example, I love to cook and family meals are important to us. We saw a house that looked wonderful on paper and had lovely finishes and updates, but the dining area had been converted to a bedroom. Mary (politely) asked us where we would put our table, and it really made us think. We had been so focused on the updates that we almost didn’t consider how our family’s day-to-day would work in that house. We loved working with Mary, and if there was one downside to finding a home quickly, it was that we didn’t get the chance to spend more time with her.

Mary was wonderful as I moved through the process of both buying and selling my home. She treated me with compassion knowing that selling was a difficult decision and supported me throughout the journey. As a first time buyer and then first time seller, she made sure I to answer all of my questions and checked in frequently to ensure I knew what was happening every step of the way. Mary gave me great suggestions for making my home more marketable to buyers, but always made sure I knew I had the final say in whatever we did. She was amazing to work with and I am so grateful for all of her guidance and support.

Mary is great she goes above and beyond. She is very knowledgeable and responds to all questions quickly. Once the house has an accepted offer you often don’t hear from your realtor. Not Mary, she stays in contact throughout providing updates as they come. She understands how stressful moving is and offers to help in any way she can.
