Our agent, Lisa Marroquin was exceptional. Her knowledge and expertise was noteworthy. I did not personally want my home listed on the MLS to get word out that my property was for sale. We live in a neighborhood that has grown increasingly rough. The homes on my street were mostly owner occupied when I bought it close to 30 years ago but that has changed. Most homes on my street are now renter occupied. Renters, sad to say, are not as concerned about the neighborhood as those who own. As a result, I felt more comfortable selling my home in a more lowkey manner. Lisa, I am glad to say was undeterred. She worked with other realtor contacts that she knew in an effort to try to find buyers/investors, rather than selling the home in a more traditional way. I may have left some money on the table as a result but selling it as quietly as possible was important to me. Lisa explained that we could certainly try that route first while simultaneously testing the market. We could always revert to more conventional marketing using all the tools available to include the MLS and home staging if necessary. Luckily, through one of her contacts, Karron Martin with Better Homes and Garden, we found a buyer/investor who made a strong offer in only our second showing. The transaction closed in a timely manner as originally scheduled.
Lisa, again working with contacts she has made through the years, recommended a realtor in another area of California that was of interest to my wife and I. This realtor, Clyde Stormont with Realty One Group, helped us look for our new home. Luckily, it took only two days of house hunting before we found a home we wanted to call our own. We made an offer, it was quickly accepted and that transaction too, closed on schedule without problems.
Lisa went far beyond and above anything we could have expected. Not only did she sell our home and helped find our new home, she also helped with home insurance. Again, her recommended insurance agent helped me secure home insurance for our new home, that in our particular case saved us over $1,000.00 dollars yearly. She also helped us find a moving company that will assist with our move into our new home.
