Kelsie did an excellent job for us at an unusual time in the real estate market because of national and local anxiety which froze the market nation wide. She guided us through this uncertain period with skill and reassurance, communicated regularly, defined document deadlines and timetables and made our obligations easy to meet. A big help was advising us on disclosures. We were very disappointed with the inspector. It is not up to him to suggest upgrades to heating systems, water heaters etc when they are well maintained and working fine despite their age.. His job is to inspect not recommend changes or to disclose his environment improving biases. He owns the market among BI realtors. He needs competition. . Another negative is that our listing was delayed because the Windermere group realtor schedule to suggest an offering price range put us back over a week. We were advised to vacate and stage the house. Im unconvinced that was a wise decision, and we have friends elsewhere in the country who did not stage. We should have partially staged. We were unimpressed by the staging quality and had to point out specific concerns. We saw far better staging in other listings. We have lived in the 4 corners of the country and have bought and sold 5 homes. Bainbridge real estate companies are a bit provincial with "This is how we do it here" but this is no criticism of Kelsey. We heard it from other realtors we interviewed. The Escrow company proved to be excellent, though it was not clear to us initially which office was handling us. . Their docusign company was first class as was their "zoom" notarizing process and their specific secure payment portal. Their staff was uniformly pleasant and responsive to our concerns and questions.
Finally, downsizing to a new stage of life in a different part of the country is extraordinarily stressful. Kelsie guided us through it with calm assurance, clear instruction and skilled advice.
Except for the criticism of the inspector and stager we thank Kelsie for a terrific job.
