Short answer: Going with Erica a no brainer. You won't regret it, for so many reasons. She is the gold standard of a teammate and professional. Less short answer: Right away, Erica came in with an understanding ear. She listened carefully to our deal breakers and must haves. As first time home owners, it only took one open house for us to quickly realize we had no idea what we were doing. Erica was able to step in and show us what to look for and consider when viewing a home. She was so knowledgeable on houses and neighborhoods throughout the whole process. One of Erica's most standout qualities was her patience. Working with Erica made the process of buying a home actually fun, which sounds impossible during a tough buyers market! While searching for homes, my partner and I lived out of state and Erica was beyond willing to show us multiple listings while we were in town, which must have been complicated and exhausting for her! She is extremely knowledgeable and had great information/local contacts on specific items we should inquire about since we weren't familiar with Washington living. When we found our perfect forever home, Erica helped us successfully negotiate and made sure we were comfortable and "all in" with our decision. I have purchased a home through Erica Topel twice now. She is one in a million! What differentiates her: (1) Her responsiveness (2) Her network - if she does not know the answer then she will get it-fast! (3) Her insights/knowledge- she know her business - well! And she'll use her knowledge/skills to help navigate you through territory you didn't know existed out there! (My first time working with Erica was in early 2018 when homes were sold at $150-$200k over asking price! Phew ... I was not ready for that!! I ended up with the ONE amazing deal out there, thanks to Erica!!!! (4) Her honesty and consultative skills- if you ask for her advice then she will share her ideas honestly and with examples and insight as to why she feels one way or another. However, she understands it's your decision and presents no concern/ego if you choose a different path (although you probably should think twice before you do go another way- haha) (5) She is willing to work FOR you. I was swamped at work and had a hard time gathering HOA meeting notes for a condo purchase. I KNEW they existed (as the bylaws require periodic meetings), but we were told via the HOA that they didn't exist. She took it upon herself to use her network and influential skills to secure those meeting notes and send them to me! (6) Lastly BUT CERTAINLY NOT LEAST, she's a wonderful person, full of charm and graciousness. Buying a home in the Seattle/Bellevue areas can be stressful. For example, when I lost a home purchase for the third time after having paid for 3 sewer scopes and inspections, ERICA assured me that there was something better out there for us ... and that we'll find it (which she did)!! I tried to work with a few other agents before meeting Erica and the experiences were measurably different. I couldn't recommend Erica Topel more!! THANK YOU ERICA! I am a first time homebuyer and Erica made sure that I understood the process and that I had all of the information that was available to me to make an informed decision. It was very obvious to me that she was looking out for my best interest and she cared that I was comfortable with the circumstances of my purchase.
