This is a testimonial to Tony Tortorici and Michele Travis of the Tulsa Senior Lifestyle Group that helped me overcome a very serious situation, transitioning my uncle to a senior community.  It was a blessing for me to get their support. There are times when we are forced to make very difficult decisions involving family.  We are faced with decisions involving health, finances, and other things that we never previously encountered. This was the situation for me when I had to make major decisions regarding my uncle who had had dementia and balance issues for many years over which he had accumulated a mountain of debt.  In addition, I had to make these decisions alone with no help from family.  I had no idea where to begin.  Having a full-time job, and health concerns of my own made this task seem impossible.  My uncle could clearly no longer take care of himself and was at high risk for falls.  In addition, his aging home was becoming a financial burden.  I finally approached an Assisted Living community that seemed suitable for my uncle and that’s when things began to improve. The staff there graciously recommended Tony Tortorici, a Seniors Real Estate Specialist. In addition, Tony has a daughter, Michele Travis.  Both are seasoned realtors who specialize in helping seniors downsize from their homes into assisted living communities.  After meeting with them my uncle and I felt very comfortable; together, we formulated a long-term plan that involved moving him, cleaning out and selling his home.  To complicate matters, I had been dealing with the IRS for nearly 2 years regarding his financial situation, a serious tax debt, as well as other creditors. There was a mountain of debt to deal with.  Thanks to Tony’s and Michele’s real estate skills my uncles home sold very quickly, but unable to close the sale due to the tax debt that created a serious negative dollar amount, which I was unable to overcome.  Moreover, Tony and Michele went way beyond the scope of their normal real estate duties by helping me deal with this financial situation.  Michele even personally helped with the IRS on my behalf. In parallel, they worked with the buyer to get them to agree to a price increase and a 90-day extension, which allowed us additional time to negotiate with the IRS and the State in hopes of reducing the debt to more closely align with the sale price.  This was not an easy process - Michele and I worked through weeks of hard work and hours of frustrating phone calls. Tony had attorney friends that were giving him “pro-bono” advice and guidance.  Through Tony’s and Michele’s initiative even the Title companies were involved.  Eventually a mountain of paper work had accumulated; Tony and Michele helped me work through this as well, and their support, guidance and patience helped in finalizing the negotiations with the IRS and State and in reducing the debt.  My uncle’s negative dollar amount was now reduced to a manageable $387.62, which now allowed us to close on the property. What a journey this was.  I could never have done this myself.  The help I received from Tony and Michele was immeasurable.  I highly recommend Tony Tortorici and Michele Travis of the Tulsa Senior Lifestyle Group to anyone dealing with family members who need to transition from their long-term home to a senior community.  They made this a truly amazing experience.

A most amazing experience we had during the transition of a very dear friend from his longtime home of many years to a senior community.   Tony Tortorici was recommended to us by a senior community. This was truly a blessing.  He and his daughter Michele Travis took care of everything and made this transition seamless.   My dear friend and neighbor is 88 years old.  He has always lived on his own. He's never been married and has no family. Both of his parents and his only sibling died years ago. He maintains, he is perfectly capable of living on his own, but in reality, he is not capable of living on his own. His doctor advised him 3 years earlier that it was time to move to an assisted living community. He didn't pursue it.  He truly thought he was capable of living in a 2-story condo with his beloved dog. The past year he has fallen numerous times and laid on the floor all night. He had trouble walking the dog as he now uses a cane and is unsteady. He couldn't walk up the stairs in his condo. He had a stairlift installed. Couldn't bathe himself, couldn't clean or wash his clothes. I stepped in to help. He wouldn't ask for help from anyone else and refused to hire any kind of assistance. He had the financial means to do so, but…...  I became his only go to person.  I work and have family and an active life in the community and church. I am also a caregiver for my aunt who doesn't drive and my mom who is in memory care. Finally, based on his Dr’s request, he agreed this time o move to a retirement community (not assisted living, but Independent Living).   He was overwhelmed with his bursting at the seam’s collectibles, and the serious neglect and clutter at his house. He began to think he would never be able to move.  Fortunately, Tony Tortorici and his daughter Michele Travis of The Tulsa Senior Lifestyle Group came to the rescue. With one discussion with Tony all Bob's doubts and fears were erased. Tony met with Bob and me and explained what their group does. In less than 3 weeks Bob was settled and unpacked in his new home. Bob didn't have to do anything.  The stairlift was removed, the packing done, and the move.  An Estate Sale / auction was organized.  Then came the cleanout to ensure the home was in readiness to be sold to ensure highest market value was obtained.  And, yes, Tony put sweat equity into the process by cleaning the debris from the front patio, outside ceilings and walls, cleaning the garage and managing the entire process to ensure all was done on time. The communication with Tony and Michele was on point. The movers came in the morning, moved he and his furnishings to his new apartment and had him unpacked with sheets on the bed and artwork on the walls within hours ready and prepared for the next phase of his life, which was certainly much more sustainable. Within the 3-week period Tony and Michele sold his condo. Tony and his team were an absolute joy to work with. They held our hands all the way. On a Sunday afternoon in March, change was inevitable when we received a call that our Dad, at 88 years young, misstepped using a ladder and was headed to the emergency room. No one wants to be in the position of deciding an elder parent can no longer live alone. The changes my mom was facing were difficult at best, considering she had lived in the house 54 years. Tony and Michele were the most awesome realtors for the selling of my mom’s house, including the clearing out of all of the things that had accumulated for so many years, and her move out of Oklahoma to come and live with me. From the beginning, Michele took on the endless paperwork task, making sure everything was in order and explaining everything to us before moving onto the next steps. She always kept us in the loop. She knows the realty business very well, and has a kind and gentle demeanor. Meanwhile, Tony worked tirelessly dealing with possible buyers and their realtors, and maintenance issues. He was always there to be at the house to meet someone or take care of the small things that came up, while my brother and I took care of my ailing mother. Together, they’re a great team!
