I've been working and interacting with Takako exclusively for over a year. She has personally shown me at least a dozen homes and prepared numerous packages in support of those home showings. I even made a bid on one of the earlier homes, which she walked me through the process step-by-step under the tutelage of her broker-in-charge. She has always responded very quickly to my texts, e-mails, and phone calls concerning any questions that I had or listings that I saw online. Takako was absolutely head and shoulders above my previously realtor from a real estate company that's a competitor of Locations. She truly made me feel like a VIP, and she has been nothing short of fantastic! However, the one thing that surprised me is she went from being the primary real estate agent to someone almost out of the picture during this real estate transaction. My understanding was that her back up, Elizabeth, was supposed to be a stop gap filler until Takako returned from her week long stay in Japan. That was how it was explained to me during my initial meeting with her and her back up. As time progressed Takako seemed to be more and more removed from the picture and transaction. I had to ask her back up to start to include Takako in the e-mails sent between her and I when I noticed that Takako wasn't part of the e-mail conversation. I even socialized to her back up that Takako has been working with me for over a year, and I wanted to make sure Takako was going to get part of the commission. Her response to me was that she would take whatever commission Takako gave her, so I was satisfied with her response and moved on. Again, I just want to reiterate the optics from my vantage point throughout this home buying experience was one where Takako seemed to be more and more removed from this real estate buying process, and that left me feeling a bit unsettling.
