If they had a hall of fame for the best real estate agent in the world, David Saari deserves to be there when he retires from real estate. My wife and I have worked with David for the past 18 months trying to buy a quality home in Summerville, SC. During this long and painful journey, we looked at at least 75 homes. We made offers on 21 of these homes and had as many as 6 under contract. Unfortunately, none of these home made the cut after we performed due diligence. As one could imagine, it took many hours of David's time not only to show us all of these homes and write all these offers, but to then perform complex due diligence on multiple properties. Only a person with David's patience and perseverance could have accomplished this while keeping his cool with us and the mostly incompentant listing agent's he was dealing with throughout our journey. We had agents that were so lazy they did not even bother to check the tax records on their homes to ensure the square footage they claimed in their listings matched the square footage on the tax records. Others simply outright lied about the condition of the homes they were listing. Others were not honest with their sellers about what their home was actually worth based on recent comps. Needless to say, this was the most challenging home purchase my wife and I have ever had to make after owning over 13 homes in our 31 years of marriage all over the state of SC. About a month ago, we finally had success in getting a home under contract that made our long journey worth the wait. It is a quality home built by a custom builder in the heart of 29483. It was a home that has many features not found in other new homes today, and we got it under contract at a price that not only we could afford but at a price well below the average comps in the area. We would have never found such a beautiful home at such a great value without David Saari. Once under contract, David's team got all the due diligence done on the home in short order and his recommended closing attorney got us closed in just 30 days from contract execution so we could be in the home by Thanksgiving. No other agent could have made this happen for us. David is honest and has integrity. He would never tell you what you want to hear just to get a listing. He wants to help buyers and sellers accomplish their goals as long as it is a fair deal for all the parties involved. In reality, most deals don't ever happen unless both sides get what they want anyway. David is smart and recognizes this fact. I think David should start his own real estate school and pass along his knowledge and approach to working with buyers and sellers to other less experienced (and less professional) agents like the ones we encountered along our journey to purchase our current home. I am not writing this because David asked me too. If you are thinking about listing your home or you need help purchasing a home in the Charleston area, you should seriously give David an opportunity to meet with you. I can guarantee that it will be the best decision you make in your journey to buy or sell a home in this challenging market. In short, we are forever indebted to David for helping us find our dream retirement home in Summerville and for always keeping our best interest in the forefront of every important decision along the way.
