As we were not full-time residents of Tahoe Donner, it was very very critical that we enlisted the services of an agent who could smoothly handle our transaction needs without us being present. Robbie's local knowledge and understanding how to handle such needs was very important to us. Just to highlight a few of the issues:As with any home transaction, we needed several small items taken care of before putting our house on the market. Robbie knows all the right local contractors to take care of such needs, and the ones we ultimately picked worked quickly, professionally, and reasonably.Robbie knows how and when to have dialog with the local realtors who were representing prospective buyers (for that matter, we had him on the other side of the transaction when we originally bought the house, so he clearly successfully negotiated for the seller when we bought). He understands how and to whom to make an appropriate counter offer.Robbie KNOWS THE MARKET. That is perhaps the most important thing for either a buyer and a seller. He suggested a range for our selling price (that was above the appraisal, by the way), and let us choose within that range. He made strong suggestions in our negotiation tactics backing them up with concrete numbers and experience. He knows how to prep a house, and how and when to show it.Robbie doesn't leave any loose ends. There are always a couple of details that seem to get lost in the shuffle with a house transaction, but Robbie made sure we didn't miss them, whether it was the transfer of utilities, notifying our insurance company, or anything else.Robbie is professional, courteous, and a pleasure to work with. He has helped us out during the whole time we owned our house, and he helped us immeasurably in selling it.
