My husband and I interviewed Michelle Van Tassell by phone to be the listing agent for our house in the Edmonds Bowl. The house had been a long term rental (to a single tenant) and we live out of state on military orders. From our first conversation, she impressed us with her knowledge, organization and professional demeanor. She agreed to take the listing, and we found her to be exceedingly effective in dealing with every aspect of the sale, from readying the property to closing the transaction. She coordinated with the outgoing tenant to have selected contractors view the property to provide estimates on needed maintenance and repair issues. She then supervised the work performed (painting, flooring, carpentry appliance replacement and yard-work and cleaning) and communicated with us by phone and e-mail so that we were kept completely informed, despite being 3000 miles away. She was very cognizant of the geographic distance and went to great lengths to stay in contact, even e-mailing us photos of completed work, for our approval. Once the property was listed, she continued to communicate with us reliably and let us know of any viewings and activity. She even alerted us on a Friday that she thought a contract might be offered over the weekend and wanted to know how best to reach us. She had complete control of the sale process and ensured every aspect of it proceeded smoothly and on time. This was the 4th house my husband and I have sold in 23 years and 2 states, and it was far and away the most positive experience we've had yet. It was fabulous to work with Michelle Van Tassell.
