A Florida native, Melissa Lerner grew up in Sarasota and brings a life-long passion for and knowledge of the region to her real estate career. Prior to becoming a Realtor, Melissa worked in the medical field for almost 20 years, beginning her career as a nurse with Sarasota Memorial Hospital, and then transitioning to medical office management. Throughout this time, she cultivated skills and values that perfectly match the demands of the real estate industry – from leadership and communication, to listening, kindness and patience. A positive and energetic professional, Melissa’s lifetime of familiarity with the local area means she is a true specialist in the many communities found West of the Trail, on the barrier islands and beyond. Melissa is a graduate of Ed Klopfer School of Real Estate, and currently sits on the board for the Pines of Sarasota. Along with her husband, she is proud to support a number of local charitable organizations, including YMCA, Pines of Sarasota, Sarasota Ballet, Selby Botanical Gardens and the Center for Building Hope. In her moments away from real estate, she loves spending time with her blended family of five children, and enjoys an active lifestyle filled with swimming, paddleboarding, golfing, gardening and tennis.
