MAUREEN HORN CELEBRATES A YEAR OF MAJOR PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS 2012 IS MARKED BY SEVERAL NOTEWORTHY ACHIEVEMENTS AND NEW DESIGNATIONS SARASOTA, Florida 2012 was a year filled with noteworthy accomplishments for Maureen Horn, a top-producing real estate agent in the Longboat Key South office of Michael Saunders & Company. Horn, who joined the company just over two years ago, finished 2012 as one of the two top producers in her Longboat Key South office. Plus, she was the third overall producer in the entire company which now numbers over 550 agents in multiple offices throughout Southwest Florida. The Horns, who are as highly regarded in local real estate circles as they were as the former owners of Maureen’s Palm Grill, on Longboat Key, also took time out in a busy year to obtain new professional designations to help further raise the level of service they offer their buyers and sellers. Steve Horn has been awarded the Certified International Property Specialist designation or CIPS which provides entry into a specialized group of global business practitioners sanctioned by the National Association of REALTORS®. The CIPS designation prepares REALTORS® to service the growing market for international buyers in their local communities by focusing on culture, exchange rates, investment trends, legal matters and other issues of concern. I recently closed on a condo at The Players Club. When I initially contacted Maureen Horn regarding exploring the purchase of a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom condo on the gulf side of LBK, Maureen was very honest about the availability of listings. She reviewed every listing on the market, both 2 and 3 bedrooms, and told me why she did not think they met my needs. She said she wanted to find me what I wanted at a decent price, even though the market is presently unprecedented. When she called me to see if I could FaceTime and look at what she thought would be a perfect fit, I was thrilled. I flew down 3 days later to see the condo in person, and a deal was made. Her partner Jodene, showed me the condo as Maureen was not able to. My husband came down 2 days later, and Jodene showed him the condo. Jodene and Maureen were available for all my questions, made sure I understood what was occurring with repairs at TPC, and helped me research the fees that would be proposed once I owned the condo. I never expected to be able to find what I wanted so quickly in this market, and Maureen knew when she saw this unit that I would love it. I am grateful that she was so attentive and available.
