Cannot say enough good things about my neighbor (well, now my former neighbor) Margie Bartles and her team, including Elizabeth Nelson.
In December I finally decided it was time for me to downsize. I called Margie in hopes of selling my house. There are a lot of great real estate agents out there today—many are friends of mine. I chose Margie for several reasons:
One, because she is one of those great agents I just made reference to, with a wonderful reputation.
Two, because I consider her and Ron to be great people, and I had their wonderful daughter, Ronnie, in school at HHS.
Three, because she was part of my neighborhood, and therefore she had a vested interest in the property value of my home. A few years back, Margie and Ron became members of the Foxcroft Meadows community (a community I like to refer to as “Martinsburg’s Best Kept Secret”. ). Since then, they have proven to be a wonderful addition to this quaint neighborhood, always present and willing to help neighbors out when needed.
Anyway, Margie and I sat down and discussed the listing. I informed her what I wanted to net from the sale. She explained she wanted to tag and mentor her new agent Elizabeth Nelson on this sell. Elizabeth and her husband came over and took incredible pictures that showcased the wonderful attributes of this home. Within days it was actively listed. One week and 12 hours later a solid, full-price offer was landed by a younger couple who will truly enjoy all this home has to offer.
All throughout this process, Margie kept close contact with me to make sure I was comfortable with everything as it transpired. She was very open and honest with each and every detail. I cannot thank her enough!
Yesterday, Dave Pill orchestrated the close. It is such a wonderful feeling to pass this home of mine of nearly 20 years to a younger couple of whom I know will love, appreciate, and enjoy all of its attributes.
Thanks to all involved in this sell—especially the Margie Bartles team! And best of wishes to the new owners of this wonderful home!
