Lloyd has more than 40 years of proven experience in highly technical and competitive markets, primarily in the health care industry. With an emphasis on marketing and sales and 35-plus years of management experience, Lloyd's résumé includes new product development and introduction, operations experience, international commerce, regulatory compliance work, and business development. His experience spanned small to large corporations, including startup ventures and global operations. He received a Bachelor of Science in business administration and an MBA from Western Carolina University. He is also a Vietnam Veteran and was awarded the Bronze Star, Bronze Star with oak leaf cluster, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry, Air Medal and Purple Heart. After military and graduate school, Lloyd began his career with Xerox in 1973. With this strong marketing and sales foundation, he moved to the health care industry and spent most of the next 35 years in medical-related enterprises. During that time, he managed a number of early-stage and/or startup companies. Lloyd has served on numerous advisory boards and corporate boards, with an emphasis on establishing new health care business enterprises. In the '90s, Lloyd served as executive vice president and group president at STERIS corporation where he rapidly assumed broadened responsibilities and successfully directed the development of the sales and marketing effort, as well as the successful integration of all customer support functions through multiple acquisitions. Due to the extensive, rapid growth of the company, his responsibilities were varied but included all customer support operations on a global basis. STERIS executed an IPO considered to be the most successful health care IPO of that decade and the company is one of the great health care success stories. The company grew from approximately $13 million in annual revenue to nearly $1 billion during his tenure. After "flunking retirement," Lloyd received his real estate license in the fall of 2015 and joined his wife, Julie, in her real estate business. He had served as an informal financial manager and advisor for the Breedlove Team for several years, but took a more active role in growing Breedlove Farms Estates and Land. Lloyd will continue his work in real estate through the Breedlove Farms Estates and Land partnership with Premier Sotheby's International Realty and believes the affiliation will offer an even wider range of luxury real estate and lifestyles.
