My wife Jodie and I had made the decision to sell our Charlotte house of 33-plus years. At the time of this decision we were living in a short-term rental in Raleigh in order to be near our two grandsons that were both born in late 2023. Imagine the wealth of emotions, logistical issues, and potential stress involved in attempting to go through the selling process while living nearly 3-hours away?! How would we ever accomplish this, let alone survive it? Enter Laura Salfia, real estate representative par excellence! Full disclosure, we’d been friends of Laura’s for years before she’d gotten into real estate, but little did we know she was a real estate Superhero! She educated us and guided us through the entire selling process, effectively instilling in us a confidence in her process as well as providing a tremendous calming presence throughout. She recommended that we stage our house and frankly I was skeptical about embracing that step, however, after seeing the staged pictures of our house vs. pictures of un-staged houses in our neighborhood, I’m now a believer - our house showed beautifully. She was at our house constantly, whether it be turning lights on and off at the beginning and end of each day, to being present for each of the buyers numerous inspections - in fact, she was at our house so often you’d have thought she lived in our neighborhood and not nearly 30 minutes away! When the termite inspector needed access to the walls of our garage, which at the time was packed with our belongings, Laura single-handedly moved our possessions away from the walls in order to allow the inspection to proceed - talk about going above and beyond!?! Who does this?! She was constantly looking out for our best interests, from her extensive review of comps in the area, to bringing in our own inspectors/consultants as needed in order to counter the buyer’s inspections and repair estimates. All this to say that if you are considering selling or buying a home, you absolutely need Laura Salfia in your corner. We can’t recommend her more highly or thank her enough for all that she did for us. Oh, and did I mention that we received offers within three days of the house hitting the market, got over asking price, and closed within 30 days? - a total home run!
