Kim Polakoff grew up in North Carolina, earning a B.A. in political science from UNC-Chapel Hill. Her diverse background and each phase of her life have taught her new perspectives on people and business – from living in Europe to owning and operating a day spa in Atlanta to working as a video editor for Turner Broadcasting. As a small business owner in Atlanta, she learned the ins and outs of accounting, management, investing, problem-solving and delivering superior customer service – all integral parts of her work as a real estate agent today. She and her husband, Keen, first invested in real estate along Florida's Emerald Coast in 2003. They quickly realized they wanted to help others in their dream of owning beach property, and they sold their home and business in Atlanta to move to South Walton. Together, they live and breathe real estate with their four-person team, The Polakoff Group, regularly brainstorming new ways to keep the transaction process simple and fun for clients, while helping them achieve their goals. Their team combines decades of experience helping investors and families and is consistently praised for its professionalism, attention to detail, knowledge and enthusiasm. Kim enjoys life as a balance of work and play. She loves the Gulf of Mexico and the lifestyle it inspires, from swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving to just floating, listening and gazing. She dances salsa and practices yoga. Kim speaks French and Italian and gives back to local charities and their communities through volunteering. Keen studied business at San Diego State University. Entrepreneurism prevailed. He was nine when he opened his first business, an icy cup stand in Hawaii, and earned "top producer" status in a publicly-traded company, traveling the U.S. and Canada as a national sales trainer and keynote speaker. The fundamental principles of service, quality communication, negotiation and solid action have guided him in his business ventures for decades since. Adventure has also been a cornerstone in his life. Keen first arrived at the Emerald Coast from California by bicycle in 1981 and then rode it back to California to return to school. More than 20 years later, he rediscovered the cost with his wife and business partner, Kim, calling it "splendid." They were married in 1999 at the Santa Rosa Beach Club. "Our love of the coast and the great outdoors; passion for real estate; and, the joy of working with people and each other makes our life here such a pleasure," he added. In 2007, as a freshly-minted Realtor, Keen began developing a new skill set with a national real estate auction firm. Within a few years, he and Kim joined Destin Real Estate Company, which later became Scenic Sotheby's International Realty. The culture of collaboration, professionalism and production their team has experienced with the company has been awe-inspiring: "What we can now offer our clients is more than we ever knew possible," he said. Keen enjoys volunteering with the Seagrove Garden Club, the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County, Food For Thought and Seacrest Wolf Preserve and serving on the board of directors for Alaqua Animal Refuge.

We were referred to the Polakoff team by a family friend and we are so glad to have received that reference. From the moment we met Kim, Keen, and Mollie my wife and I were impressed with their professionalism, knowledge of their profession, and attention to detail. They worked extremely hard ( 24-7) to find us the perfect home on 30A. After the sale, they continue to stay in touch with us to ensure that we have the information that we need to become established in this beautiful Rosemary Beach community! They are truly a stellar team and great people- We highly recommend! Bob and Stacey Ferreira
