We asked Karen to tackle the biggest task in the world, find an updated, move in ready house with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths in Byrnes Downs. If you are familiar with the area, you know what a HUGE undertaking this would be. Most houses only have one bath and are around 1000 square feet. Byrnes Downs was first designed as rental properties for Charleston Naval Shipyard workers, but the homes were sold to veterans and their spouses after World War II ended. House construction by the Long Construction Company began in 1944, with the first house completed in April 1945. Many of the houses remain virtually the same as the day they were built and small lots make it difficult to upgrade, but that just adds to the charm of this quaint neighborhood. We got lucky and found the perfect house. In less than 48 hours, they accepted the offer. Karen is extremely knowledgeable and she knows the neighborhood like the back of her hand. If you are looking for a home in Charleston, SC, Karen can find you the perfect home. Karen is the unofficial Mayor of Charleston. She seems to know everyone and could probably tell you the name of all of the dogs in the Byrnes Downs neighborhood. She is very personable and has extreme attention to detail. Three words to describe working with Karen: trust, integrity and transparency. 5 Stars does not seem enough!
