I just wanted to let you know how grateful my family is to one of your realtors, Jason Hilden. My husband is a Marine Corp Vet. We chose to use his VA loan when buying our home. We had know idea the difficulties and discrimination we would be up against when we decided to use his VA loan. We had several realtors that just wouldn’t work with us. We also couldn’t believe certain home owners wouldn’t sell to people with a VA loan. For my husband to sever his country and be treated so poorly because he wanted to use his VA loan was very disheartening. We recently moved from Kansas City to Grand Haven. We were living with my mom until we could find a house. My husband is a sales rep and covers all of Michigan, Illinois, Indian and Ohio, so we needed a house anywhere south of I96. We also were on a time crunch to find a house and move in before school started. We got our pre approval letter in the middle of June and started house shopping that very day. After being turned away or just plain ignored by several realtors we met Jason. Jason didn’t even flinch when we told him we had a VA loan. We told him about the problems we had had and he told us he likes a good challenge and would gladly help us. Jason was willing to go anywhere and everywhere to help us find a house. And I did have him driving everywhere. I was also sending him 10 or more houses a day to look at. He never complained once but I'm sure wanted to! Jason ended up finding us a house in Owosso. From the day we put in an offer (July 3) to the day we signed (Aug 26) there was issues! That time frame was extremely stressful. Jason kept reassuring me it was all going to work out and he was going to get me in the house on time. We ran into a few issues with the selling agent, her team and with getting the well inspected. None of the issues stopped Jason from doing everything he could to get us in the house on time for our girls to start school and so one of them wouldn’t miss tryouts for volleyball. Because of Jason’s determination my daughter made the volleyball team! We will be forever grateful for everything Jason did for us! You are very lucky to have him working for you on your team! More people need to have the respect and gratitude for our veterans like he does.
