Moving can be difficult, but trying to move to Florida was next level hard. It felt like trying to reach the top shelves in the kitchen to grab the cookie jar as a 5 year old. Only that the cookies are the apartments, the shelves are the apartment complex and the height that prevented me from getting said cookies was all the obstacles that were suddenly in our way. Constant scam sites trying to take our money for bogus houses and then rejecting us. And then when they were real, we kept getting the same responses over and over “We’re sorry but you do not meet the minimun income to be here” or “we currently have a waitlist of three months” or “We will have apartments available in December”. I needed to move by July…. I honestly was getting very anxious and stressed because I had to get out of my apartment in the next three weeks and I had no place to call a home. It also complicated things that we are almost 200 MILES away from Florida so going there and checking places out was out of the question. After 2 months of intense searching I found a nice house. However I had my reservations. My friend recommended calling this realtor, Holton, over here to inspect the application. Quickly, Holton saw the red flags around this house (also the fact that the deed was not under the sellers name ). Thanks to him we avoided falling for a scam. But now we are back to square one. Still stressed and no place to call home. Luckily, this is were Holton’s magic come into play. Holton immediately looked at our criteria, including price range, ammenities and pet friendly was a must! He said “Yeah I think we can find a place for you and your partner within those ranges”. Soon after, Holton started working his magic. He began to send us links to apartments, houses and other places that were both safe, affordable and within our price range. Holton went above and beyond to even check these places out in person. He talked to management companies and inquired about the availability of their apartments and other homes that were looking for tenants. This man even went out of his way to drive miles away from Tampa to check out a house I found on Zillow. He provided daily updates and options for us to keep us busy, active and focus on finding that apartment. After a few weeks of intense searching, we were finally able to find an apartment near my job, within our price range, had in-unit laundry AND was pet friendly. Honestly I could not be any happier with the choice we made to get help from Holton because we were able to find a place to call home and if I ever buy I house I wouldn’t think twice in calling him to find our forever home. Thank you Holton for making this college student a little bit less anxious!! My partner and cats appreciate the work that you did for us! Florida here I come!! 10/10 would highly recommend.
