"It's not personal, it's business." That old saw is rarely true, but it is never so false as in the work of a realtor. A good realtor must get to know her clients personally, because she understands that she is not simply buying and selling houses, she is helping her clients find a new home, and there is no way to do that without learning about their lives, their values, and their hopes for the future. In light of that fact, Chrissy Manna is not a good realtor, she is a great one: it is difficult to imagine that anyone could possibly find one better.
We were going through a difficult life transition when Chrissy was first recommended to us. We had to downsize because my mother, with whom we shared a mother-daughter house, had become too ill to live at home. Chrissy helped us navigate the sale of our house and the search for a new home with incredible sensitivity, patience, and dedication. Her knowledge of all aspects of the real estate industry, the efficiency with which she works on all dimensions of a search and sale, and the seemingly limitless reserves of energy that she brings to bear are truly wondrous to behold.
It is difficult to imagine that we could have sold our house so profitably and found such a comfortable new home without Chrissy under the best of circumstances. She moved Heaven and Earth to prepare our house for the market and to publicize it to best advantage, while at the same time steering us away from foolish purchases that might have caused us a great deal of remorse absent her guidance. But we have reason to be grateful that Chrissy was our realtor beyond what the "best circumstances" would dictate.
During the transition to our new home my mom's health steadily declined, and she tragically passed away. As awful as that experience was, I shudder to think how much worse it would have been if we had not had Chrissy's help throughout this trial. "Lifesaver" is a word that gets thrown around very gratuitously, but in Chrissy's case it is very apt. I would recommend her to anyone who is buying or selling a home for any reason and under any circumstances.
