Barbara Sherfey Mitchell is exactly who you want as your agent. I have worked with her both to buy a house and also to sell one. She is attentive and on-the-ball in either role. She is thorough, takes initiative to get things done, listens but doesn't just rubber-stamp everything you (the seller) thinks is reasonable, when it clearly is not; and is realistic about price and likelihood of selling within a certain timeframe. As a professional, she is without peer. But in the end, you also want someone you like working with. Barbara is that person - cheerful, fun, good sense of humor, honest. In the Stinson Beach/ Bolinas area, I don't imagine there are many with her sense of place, local knowledge and contacts. You can't go wrong working with Barbara.
The best agents I have ever dealt with in my life. The Sherfey's go way beyond what agents are expected to do. They transformed my home before going to market. They improved the garden, the parking area, staged and had the inside painted, even got the neighbor to trim their trees to improve my view. Incredible marketing, perfect pictures and video showing a clear vision of what the house was all about. Great communication. They know their market inside and out. And the result?...They sold our home for $200,000 over asking in the middle of winter. They're a class act. Very professional to say the least.
The Sherfey Group represents the best of all possibilities in real estate in West Marin- they are a rock solid local family with extensive knowledge of communities up and down the coast, coupled with Sotheby's, with its remarkably capable marketing and administrative infrastructure. Our experience was superb- the photography was first rate, as was the advertising both in print and internet. With all of that, I believe it was their extensive local contacts, in the heart of Marin as well as the coast, that brought about a sale of our home, at full asking price, in two and a half weeks time. The buyers were happy, we were happy, and a better real estate experience would be hard to find.
