I’ve had the pleasure of working with Barbara on several occasions and I can confidently say she truly is the best of the best when it comes to realtors. Her in-depth knowledge of the local marketplace is impressive—she understands trends, pricing, and timing in a way that gives her clients a real advantage. On top of that, her negotiating skills are exceptional; she consistently advocates on behalf of her clients to secure the best possible outcome. The fact that I’ve chosen to work with her again and again is the highest recommendation I can give. She’s someone you want in your corner if you are selling or buying a house.

Barbara did an outstanding job leasing my retail space. She demonstrated a strong understanding of the market position the property well and brought in a quality tenant. Throughout the process, she was proactive organized and highly responsive. She managed negotiations professionally and insured the transaction move forward efficiently. What stood out most was her ability to navigate negotiations and handle details efficiently which made the entire transaction feel organized, and stress-free I truly appreciated her expertise and would confidently recommend her to any commercial property owner 10. Stars out of five!!!!

We were extremely pleased wiht the wonderful service provided by Barbara in connection with the sale of my sister's condominium in Tarrytown.  Her expertise and in depth knowledge of the market was evident throughout the process.  Her guidance in preparing the property for sale and setting an asking price was based on a careful review of competing properties and was very practical.  Barbara was very proactive staying on top of things between contract signing and closing.  The entire process could not have gone more smoothly.  I would recommend Barbara to my friends, family members and colleagues without hesitation.

My husband and I  moved to Florida. We trusted Barbara to sell our home in White Plains. We had to move in such a hurry as my husband had to start his new job. Barbara arranged the photographer right away to come and take pictures before we took away the furniture. We had arranged movers and they left the home in a horrible condition. Barbara arranged a cleaning company and junk moving company so our house can be in great shape for the site tours. Her dedication got us 3 offers the first weekend and we had a signed contract only a few weeks after putting the house in the market. She served as our broker, as our lawyer ( our lawyer was hard to reach at times). She followed up with the buyers and stayed in touch with their agent and their lending institution. She made sure to arrange a company to clean up our yard before the final walk through. She came to the house and turned the heater on during the cold days so the pipes would not freeze. She did soooo much for us and we will be forever grateful. We bought a home in Florida and our broker here was so not like Barbara. She goes above and beyond!

As first-time homebuyers trying to buy a house sight unseen from halfway across the country, we knew we would need to rely on our real estate agent 100%. Barbara exceeded our expectations with her flexibility, the valuable information she provided, and her willingness to go the extra mile. She answered all of our questions, showed us houses on Facetime, met with our family members to show them the house we ultimately chose several times, and was always available to us. Even after we closed on the house, she has been super-helpful in helping arrange logistics ahead of our move in. Highly recommended!  S & K

I absolutely recommend Barbara as a real estate professional. She was an outstanding broker! She knew the River communities and condo complex very well and was able to negotiate an excellent selling price. Barbara was personable, flexible and responsive in dealing with me. I hope I can use her again if I return to the River towns.

Barbara worked with us to sell our home as well as the purchase of another one. Our open house was held one weekend and we had multiple offers which she helped us sort through in a fair process. Additionally, she insisted that we just look at the house we ultimately purchased. Barbara had first hand knowledge of the area and got to really know us! This allowed a very successful collaboration!!! Pat B

Barb Hallen, our real estate rep, helped us buy our place in 1999, and sell it in 2010. Both times she was always available to answer our questions, hold our hands when we panicked, and guide us to a lawyer (a good one with reasonable rates, no less!) when we needed one. In the down market of 2010, we worried about being able to sell, but, thanks to Barb and Houlihan-Lawrence, we were under contract for full asking price a mere week and a half after the place went on the market! Does it get any better than that? NO! Hats off to Barb and the professionals at Houlihan-Lawrence. - Nick Andes
