We first met Amy a year ago when my boyfriend and I were relocating to Charleston. Being out-of-towners, we weren’t sure if we wanted to buy or not. We popped into the Carolina One Isle of Palms office on a day Amy happened to be working and she jumped right in. Over the course of the next few months, Amy and I began corresponding about different areas we would want to live in, our price ranges, etc. My boyfriend and I had decided that we did want to rent for the first year. We met up with Amy again, and she took us around to various rental properties. From the very beginning, I felt that Amy treated us as if we were homebuyers with over $1,000,000 to spend on a house--so very patient and friendly. Six months after we made Charleston our home we were looking toward something permanent for our future, and we knew Amy was going to be our agent.
She was the perfect person to guide us through this process. We were first time homebuyers, and my boyfriend travels out of town about 60% of the time. A lot of our house shopping was spent with just me and Amy. In fact, I chose the house we purchased and put in an offer without my boyfriend having seen it in person (granted—he really trusts me).
I have always felt that Amy was working with us to find the best house to build our home as unique as we are. She guided me through every step in the process from comparative property valuations to suggesting a home inspector. She made herself available to me in spite of my crazy schedule, keeping me updated and reminding me about due diligence proceedings. I can say that after a year of knowing Amy and six months of working closely with her, she has become a dear friend. We look forward to hosting her in our new home!
