Gone are the days when the old cliché “location, location, location” was the key driver in real estate. Alicia encourages her clients to replace that with a more modern-day approach, “location, lifestyle and layout.” As Dallas and its surrounding neighborhoods continue to expand and evolve, so too have the needs of her clients.  “Recognizing that each client has a unique goal and a different understanding about the buying and selling process, I prefer to take a holistic and very hands-on approach."  She strives to turn each transaction into a smooth transition by developing trust and adding value, ultimately creating a lifelong relationship.  As much as she enjoys working with and educating first-time buyers, she is equally energized and excited when working with investors, or seasoned buyers and sellers.  Prior to entering the Texas real estate market, she earned her real estate license in Massachusetts and spent several years in finance and banking at American Express and the FDIC.   Alicia has been recognized as a D Magazine Best Real Estate Agent and has received the Texas Monthly 5-Star Award for several consecutive years. She has been featured multiple times by the Dallas Business Journal, Dallas Morning News and Channel 8 as a market expert. Easily described as enthusiastic, Alicia is engaged in all aspects of the DFW real estate community.  She is a past Director of the MetroTex Association of Realtors and has served on or chaired numerous committees: Leadership, Budget & Finance, Charitable Trust, MLS and Public Education. As a member of Mayor Rawlings' Star Council and through her work and volunteer efforts, she has focused on spotlighting the growth and improvement in the southern sector, while highlighting positive changes impacting greater Dallas.  Alicia feels strongly that “Protecting and championing growth along the corridor isn’t just good business, it’s good sense!” A long-time Turtle Creek resident, she strongly supports the local business community and is fiercely passionate about giving back on a personal level.  She has been an unwavering supporter of the North Texas Food Bank, participating quarterly with the 6-week Cooking Matters program.  Alicia will be quick to tell you she understands and appreciates the best of both worlds in that, although she was raised in Dallas, she spent several years in Boston, where she gained an understanding that preservation is equally important to growth and expansion.  To that end, she is a long-time volunteer and member turned active board member at Preservation Dallas and serves as the Chair of Membership and Development for the organization.  She is actively engaged with her Delta Delta Delta alumnae chapter and is a supporting member of the Turtle Creek Association and the Trinity Park Conservancy. If you’re looking for an agent who has her finger on the pulse of the city, look no further. Alicia is dedicated, driven by results, motivated by success and inspired by her clients! I recently made the decision to move back to Texas, lucky for me a close friend had previously worked with Alicia Schroeder. She is local agent with a great reputation for helping you find a living environment that will check all the boxes. Alicia met with me, gathered all the information on what I was looking for and immediately went to work reviewing properties that fit my criteria. An account was set up for me to review potential homes that had been screened by Alicia, so they met my needs. Living 1,200 miles away she scheduled homes for me to visit when I flew in so that no time was wasted on properties I wouldn't be interested in. She always had a working knowledge of any area that I chose to look at. In the end when I had made my selection, she asked questions that I didn't think of and negotiated the best deal for me always thinking of my best interest - better than I even had hoped for or expected! Even after the closing, the communication didn't stop. The concern and follow-up with me taking possession of the property seem to be a priority for Alicia. The day I drove in there was a hidden key on site and a welcome home basket waiting for me. This level of service isn't provided by many in today's world. It certainly wasn't the case for the folks that bought my Wisconsin property. If you're looking to make a move, down the street or from states away, you want to have someone who will do their best to make it pain-free and take the stress off your shoulders, Alicia will do that for you.
Alicia is a miracle worker!
OK, truthfully, there’s nothing “miraculous” about it. Her work ethic and dedication to her clients combined with her ability to shoot you straight (with a dash of northeastern fierceness) will somehow leave you laughing. Our home in Turtle Creek was on the market for nearly eight months with a different realtor. We put in new floors, paint, doors...this place should sell in no time, right? Unfortunately, it did not. We were given the recommendation to work with Alicia and are so glad we did! Alicia was straightforward from the beginning. She told us exactly what needed to be done if we wanted to secure a deal: staging, replace paving stones on the back patio, plant flowers, replace outlet covers-the “basics,” apparently it is the little things that make a BIG difference! Her attention to detail is incredible! We took her advice and were under contract within 2 DAYS! If Alicia is not a miracle worker, then who is?!? Her openness and easy communication was a breath of fresh air. From the initial meeting until closing, Alicia provided a clear and positive journey and a big win for our family. My husband and I have recommended Alicia over and over and will continue to do so! She should be your first call no matter what property you are looking to sell or buy.
I first met Alicia when I moved to Dallas for my first job after graduating from UT and was on the hunt for my first apartment. Alicia did a fantastic job, driving my mom and me around Uptown until we found the perfect place. As I moved on to house hunting, Alicia’s support only grew stronger. She drove me around all of North Dallas, helping me land a great deal on my first home.During the pandemic, Alicia helped me navigate a frenzied market. We viewed close to 80 houses and wrote about 10 offers. Like most Buyers during that time, and despite best efforts, we weren't successful, however her dedication never wavered. She was instrumental in helping me identify the right homes for me and my family. Her unwavering support and expertise have been invaluable throughout my journey.
Years later, Alicia was there again to help me sell that house and buy my second one. Despite a tough market, her recommended modifications led to a successful sale in a relatively short amount of time. She also found my new home on a very tight timeline, suggesting places and houses I hadn’t considered.Working with Alicia is unlike working with a traditional realtor. She feels more like a close friend or family member, with no communication barriers thanks to her honesty and passion for her work. Alicia combines this passion with sharp expertise, knowing the ins and outs of real estate, and being extremely organized. She is a top-notch professional who brings the warmth of a family conversation, coupled with the highest level of real estate expertise.P.S. My mom loves her!!!
