Job Description
The UI/UX Engineer (“Engineer”) is part of a small, high-performing team in the Testimonial Tree Engineering Department. The Engineer will serve a hybrid role of designer and engineer. The Engineer will work closely with the product and engineering teams in order to design mockups and prototypes. The Engineer will also be partially responsible for the development of said designs while not actively designing. The Engineer will, from time to time, be required to work and coordinate with the Marketing team in order to fulfill various design needs across the company. The Engineering team at Testimonial Tree is small and everyone is expected to participate in the entire application development life cycle.
Location
This member will be joining the “Core” Engineering Team and would preferably be located locally in Southwest Florida. Testimonial Tree has a hybrid office/remote mentality and working remote can be accommodated.
Responsibilities
Design high fidelity mockups and prototypes.
Communicate and Coordinate with both Engineering and Product Teams
Communicate and Coordinate with the Marketing team from time to time.
Plan, code, test, debug, implement, maintain, and document front end application code as necessary.
Publish/update web content (text, images, etc.)
Keep up-to-date with current and emerging design/development best practices and research new technologies
Regularly communicate with all interested parties to provide and receive updates regarding development, troubleshooting, timelines, etc.
Participate in departmental projects and implementations.
Qualifications
A minimum of three to five years of web design experience
A minimum of one to three years front end development experience
Bachelor’s degree required preferred
Experience with AdobeXd, Figma, etc.
Experience with Laravel/PHP a plus
A thorough understanding of CSS and HTML
A thorough understanding of Javascript (React) preferred
