As a resident of Oklahoma faced with selling a property in Fort Worth in an unfamiliar real estate market, I found a realtors through friends. When they came over to see the house, I heard what they would do with the property. I wondered if they’d ever care to find out what I wanted. They didn’t. This property was my sister and brother-in-law’s home for nearly 20 years. It mattered to me what became of it. So, my friend and I drove around to see comparable properties for sale in the neighborhood. There weren’t many for sale though there was one with a SOLD sign in the yard. We took the number down and called the selling agent. That call was our first contact with Margaret.
Margaret came by the house the next day and greeted us with enthusiasm and knowledge. She’d grown up blocks away and knew everything about the area: fantastic school district, value of the lot size, favorable setback, design of the house. Yes, there were flaws with the house and she advised us that it wasn’t necessary to put more money into the property. We agreed to work together.
With her knowledge of the neighborhood and market research she proposed a sales price that I was very happy with. We both felt there was a buyer out there for this unique property and we had two offers within days of listing. The ultimate buyer came to us from another agent at her firm.
Margaret was many things throughout the process. She was a competent professional while she handled me with care (saying goodbye to a family home is never easy) and throughout was downright charming.
I wasn’t able to get every last thing about before closing so it was Margaret to the rescue, again. She contacted a clean-out professional and within hours we were ready to close.
If a seller is interested in a quick sale of a property, I think any realtor could do that. Margaret could. If you want someone to understand your motivations and what give you everything you want out of the process work with Margaret. You will be thrilled, as am I.
