This is a two part review of working with Rob Joon, of Jaqua Realtors, Douglas. Most recently, he was our real estate agent for our purchase of a condo in Douglas. Before that, I rented places from him for vacation stays. Recently, we decided to look for a place in Douglas Michigan, and we chose to work with Rob because I had had such good experiences with renting from him. Over a couple of months, He took us around the area to become familiar with what was available, exploring houses and condos. As a long-term community member who raised his children here, Rob really knows the people, the properties, and the history of Douglas. Rob was patient, amiable, and did not pressure us. When we found a condo, he helped us through the offer process, connected us with people who could help us learn about the property, suggested resources for moving, and so on. We have closed on our new place, but I know we will stay in contact with Rob regarding our purchase as well as in friendship. What was good about renting condos from Rob for short stays? I rented two different units from him over several years: an attached condo and a free-standing house. His places are super clean and equipped with all that I need for a stay as if in my own home. Rob lives close to his properties and responds quickly if I have questions or needs. Each time I have returned, he has done updates to keep the places fresh and up-to-date including, for example, painting, replacing a deck, refinishing floors, etc.
