A Barrington resident for the past 35 years, my intimate knowledge and love for Rhode Island began when my husband and I moved here from Newton Massachusetts following an earlier career in advertising. With a grandfather that was a contractor and an uncle that was a developer, it made sense that practicing real estate should become part of my heritage. I am writing this memo on behalf of Bonnie Koppelman for her file to share with the next client she works with as a realtor for Residential Properties. I met Bonnie over a year ago and began to look at properties in the Portsmouth, Middletown, Tiverton and Little Compton areas. I was not exactly sure what I wanted for a second home but knew I wanted something close to the beach in a family type neighborhood. Bonnie showed me countless numbers of properties but we could not find anything that clicked for me. She never pushed or pressed me only showed me properties that she thought would peak my interest. We kept in touch over this past winter and started the process again in the spring.
I listed my condo in Middletown with Bonnie the end of June to go on the market the 4th of July. Bonnie was instrumental in guiding me to prep the condo for sale. The condo was sold in 3 weeks and Bonnie found me a beautiful home in Portsmouth overlooking the river. Between the sale of the condo an the closing which took place on August 26th most people would never experience what Bonnie and I went through. Between an unruly condo neighbor who continually meddled in the sale to try to block it and a buyer whose demands were at times unreasonable, Bonnie being the consummate professional was able to navigate the ship through rough seas. She continually worked with the lawyer, property manager, bank and the buyers agent to see the sale through execution. There were times I was ready to give up but she would get me through the frustration and back on track. I can't thank her enough for her steadfast support and innate ability to listen and discuss my options. I look forward to the closing on my home in Portsmouth at the end of September.
In closing I would like to say that working with Bonnie is a great experience and a privilege whether you are selling or purchasing real estate. Having a pro in your corner provides you the ability to rest at night knowing you are in good hands. I would recommend Bonnie to any potential buyer or seller because she is first class and a credit to her profession as a realtor.
