Innovation: World’s Largest Ophthalmic Conference

Over 28,355 attendees including Physicians, Healthcare Professionals and over 585 exhibiting vendors participated in American Academy of Ophthalmology’s AAO 2016 which is the world’s largest ophthalmic conference showcasing innovative technology, products and services.

 

Doctors said they look forward to attending the annual conference to gain the relevant insights necessary to make the right decisions. We collected a few quotes from attendees below.

Exhibition Floor Excitement:

Thousands of healthcare professionals flooded the expansive exhibition floor of Chicago’s McCormick Place. Excitement was in the air reflecting the event’s theme of innovation. We met with many of the Doctors in between technology pavilion sessions, continuing education sessions (CE), peers, and EyeMD EMR newest platform demonstrations.

 

Marketing Positive Patient Experience:

Testimonial Tree provided educational sessions about delivering great patient experiences and increasing patient referrals. We received a lot of questions about assessing patient experience through surveys for MIPS quality measures/activities, and how Physicians can overcome negative online reviews on sites like Yelp or Google. We couldn’t have been more excited to meet Doctors who were looking for new innovative marketing strategies to implement in 2017.

Top Eye Doctors stopped by to get a preview of the new EyeMD EMR platform and enhancements included in the latest release. It was amazing to see so many Doctors staying well after the exhibitor showroom closed to participate and connect with peers.
